On Saturday May 7th 2011. King of the Couch Hosted yet another amazing Local Tournament in Morristown, NJ. Game titles like Call of Duty Black Ops, Halo Reach, Pokemon, Mortal Kombat, and MvC3 were all there, but nothing gets more attention then GEARS OF WAR 2. Six 4 man teams showed up ready to play, and even had guest appearances by Major League Gamings Andreas “Nexy” Pierson www.twitter.com/NexyMLG and MLG’s Community Figure Charles “DaFaCe” Laulis. www.twitter.com/DaFaCex .
After hours of incredible Gears Of War 2 game play. Two teams vVv HeadRush led by “vVv Toxicity” and Gravity led by “Guish”, were left to battle it out for first place in a best of 9 series. vVv HeadRush was able to dominate their first map, and then was swept from there on out placing 2nd, losing their opportunity for Local Bragging Rights.
The quality of players that come out to events like this is un-matched. Former GoW Pro’s, Local Underground Slayers, and Gamers that are new to the competitive scene looking to show off their skills, and meet other great players with one goal in mind. Gears Of War. KOTC is the launch pad for some of the greatest players in the nation and is a proven battle ground for some of the best Gears Of War Players in the game.
In previous KOTC events GoW 2 has always been the go to game for Local Competitive gamers to keep up with there LAN Experience. KOTC highly anticipates the Release of Gears Of War 3 and plans on hosting a series of Local Event’s with the title.
